About Our Company…Distinctive Properties
Distinctive Properties is a privately owned real estate business, located in Monrovia, California, specializing in properties located throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Distinctive Properties is a rarity in the real estate industry in that each transaction is entirely handled by a licensed Realtor and never delegated to a third party coordinator.
Distinctive Properties came into being in 1994 after Kay Erb sold a large franchise real estate office to begin concentrating on a smaller more personalized firm with individualized service. Kay has been apart of the real estate industry since 1977, becoming a broker/owner in 1981, and has enjoyed many years of acknowledged success.
In 2009 she passed the torch to her daughter, Cathy Teegarden, as the new broker/owner/manager of Distinctive Properties. Cathy has been in real estate since 1989 and has a diversified background of residential sales, property management, entitlements and development. While Kay is still active with the company, she is thrilled to have Cathy’s professional approach and enthusiasm take over.
The staff at Distinctive Properties is very knowledgeable, professional and always makes the customer's needs their first priority. Our office is fully automated with on-line membership to many Multiple Listing Services and quick access to public records and other Internet tools. In the ever changing real estate market, this allows Distinctive Properties to provide every possible resource for a successful real estate transaction. Distinctive Properties may be small in size, but is enormous in service. .
